The Caraga State University (CSU) Cabadbaran Campus formerly known as NORMISIST Cabadbaran Campus (NCC) is a satellite campus of the Caraga State University in Ampayon Butuan City, Agusan del Norte. The conversion of the then Northern Mindanao College of Ars, Science and Technology (NMCAST) into the NORMISIST Cabadbaran Campus last October 2000 was in pursuant to the Special Provision No. 2 of RA 8760 on the integration of CHED - Supervised Institutions and in consonance with the CHED EnBanc Resolution to ensure the efficient and effective integration of CHED - Supervised Institutions to State Universities and Colleges. 

      The integration and conversion of the Northern Mindanao College of Arts, Science and Technology into the Northern Mindanao State Institute of Science and Technology Cabadbaran Campus opened new doors of opportunities towards its development as an Institution of Higher Learning. Republic Act 9854 integrates the Northern Mindanao State Institute of Science and Technology (NORMISIST) in Ampayon and the Northern Mindanao College of Science and Technology (NMCAST) City of Cabadbaran, Agusan del Norte into CARAGA State University. The Academic standards of quality Instruction, Research, Extension and Production which is being practiced in culture in CARAGA State University is now also being adapted at the CARAGA State University Cabadbaran Campus.

      The CSU Cabadbaran Campus offers undergraduate programs in engineering, information technology, industrial technology, education, tourism and HRM as well as Laboratory High School (Secondary Education). Being the only public State University established in the City of Cabadbaran, the CSU Cabadbaran Campus is furnishing its established name as an Institution of Higher Learning in the City of Cabadbaran, Province of Agusan del Norte.
